Anyway, the fields of environmental biology and plant ecology have exploded. I was sure wishing that I had emphasized those studies more when I lived in the coastal area of SC. I knew several plant biologists and botanists in that area and they had terrific positions with the local government, protecting the wetlands and other endangered property against irresponsible development.
