I did a search for wild fires outside of Dallas. Wow you are really having a lot of wind. 60 mph gust on a dry area is scary. I did the volunteer FF for 12 years down here. Fire just jumps from top to top. I hope all is Ok up there. Let us hear something.....

Hope you and your family and pets all stay safe. Wierd to have wildfires in winter...here they are all in the summer/fall. My aunt's cabin in N. AZ got burnt up a few yrs ago...it must be dry there too.

I went to Star Telegram newspaper in our area of North Texas. They had oh so many photos of the firefighters at various fires. One I was especially interested in I have added here.

I see the outline of the State of Texas in those flames from a burning fence post.

Thanks for all of your prayers and well wishes... The wind finally laid down a little after dark.. they got the fires out..There were 3~4 other counties that were a blaze also... It is windy again today but not to bad.. I haven't heard of anymore fires today...We just need rain desperately.. LOL nothing but wind in the forecast...

Thank goodness you are ok. I know we had so much rain all spring and summer and the places here that usually look like desert were so green then no rain for the last several months and all that grass has died and dried out and is a fire waiting to happen with the high wind all it takes is a hot car exhaust pulled over on the shoulder or a lit cigarette tossed out a window to start it.

That is us... some of the fires yesterday were started when power lines were blown down... Crazy!!!
So how is your Mom and Uncle anyway???? Doing Great I hope!!!!

They are doing very well. Mom is off most of her medication and blood pressure is doing well. My uncle is still in the hospital but recovering very well. Glad you are ok. I'll be back on tonight.

That's great news Kylie! Made DH put the remote down last night when I saw a story about the fires was coming up on the weather channel. Very glad to hear they were able to put them out.
