You say, "don't want to bore you". I'm never bored looking at pic's of well grown brom's and I especially like the specimen in pic.2, is it Til. Cyanea? I've never seen one with so many paddles on it. Do you have any cultural tips to share with someone like me as I can't grow them very well at all.

I really don't do anything special to them.Most of them are just planted with spaghum(sp) moss,and i hit them sometimes once a week with the hose,sometimes not,depends on the weather.

I just looked at"your page"to see where you lived.Australia huh,don't know how your weather compares to ours in S.Calif.

I also retired in 99.

Thanks for that growing tip. I've tried growing them in just about all of the everyday bromeliad mixes commonly used here and I never thought about trying sphagnum. Do you use 100% sphagnum or do you mix it with somehing else.

I'll sort through a few pic's and post them to show you what I have.
