I love your enthusiasm but I cant help wonder... Why? These root rather easily on their own and grafting is really only necessary for hard to grow species. It looks like a good graft so it should work out for you - Let us know

I also think the graft looks good and will work... but isn't necessary at all (unless you want to train your grafting skills)
It's better to remove the shoot of the understock though.
