My dish garden (mostly Mammillaria cacti and aloe juvena) was looking poorly and thought it might be root bound, so I got my little tools and started to dig up the aloe to see. When I disturbed the soil, all these very tiny black ants came swarming out of the soil. I looked up how to get rid of the ants and most advice is to soak the planter in water for a half hour. This won't be too much water for the cacti?
