To paint or not to paint.....Has anyone tried the chalk paint (Annie Sloan). I have been considering painting my cabinets with it for sometime. You don't have to prep the cabinets other than cleaning them first, no priming! You do have to put a wax on them after painting though. I have heard rave reviews from friends but only on furniture. They say you can use the paint on anything, even counter tops???

A little nervous as you can't go backwards if you don't like it:/ Or even just figuring what color to use...ugg.

I think painting my cabinets are my only alternative (not allowed to replace, & would like to keep molding) as I added crown molding that I attempted to match but unfortunately, I couldn't match the 10yrs. of Sunshine:/ (The island is new along with the appliances, crown molding, and I will be installing the back splash and pendant lights this week)

Any information on the chalk paint would be great, along with which color to use. Thinking somewhere in the white, cream, gray area. Also, need to figure out wall color....then I am done with the kitchen:)

Now that I have been reading other discussions...I may have other options such as Rustoleum Transformations or Old Master Stains.....I think I like the gel stain idea??? This is a harder decision then picking out the granite!
