YES, it is a great blue.

Wanda, Its not an easy plant to photograph and I think you now have the best picture ever taken of this Echium. There are hardly any on the web and none in books that I have ever seen. Congrats on the growing and the camera work .

Mikey, the plant is probably around 1 or 1 1/2' tall and the flower spikes come up about another foot. According to Annie's sign info, it reaches 5'. It was only about 4 or 5" when I planted it this past winter. It's in my "dry garden" and hasn't had any water since the rains stopped.

I realize this is an old thread, but hoping the OP sees it. Wondering how your plant is doing? I planted my 4" from Annie's this past fall/winter and am hoping for a couple blooming stalks soon. I planted near the Anagallis for complementary blues. How tall and wide did your Tajinaste grow? Thx!
