Hi Nina. I may have to return to work in order to get some rest;) We remodeled our kitchen in the first part of the year and now I'm working on putting in hardscape in the front yard. A mason is doing the brickwork and I'm doing the picket fencing between columns.

The below photo is back in June when I ripped out the walkway and planter and our mason just started his work. What a dusty mess!

All the picket fencing is now in between the columns and I was able to plant a climbing rose in this corner area below.

Below is a photo as of today. The porch still needs to be finished as well as a ramp/walkway on the left and the patio area on the right. My son will put up a double picket gate once the brickwork is finished.

Hopefully I will be able to start the actual landscaping in a few weeks. I have 40 or so potted plants out back that are very anxious to get their roots into the ground. But the real answer to your question is RETIREMENT IS GREAT! I should have done it 30 years ago.
