it bloomed early this time (october '04, normally a late winter bloomer) and with the return of spring-like weather (mid-70's on jan. 1, '05 and supposed to be the same all this week!), the remaining flowers are opening.
it is one of the first camellias that i planted - i had the bug!

Mine bloomed really early too and then the extreme cold froze a lot of the blooms. It is now blooming again though.

Our heavy rains knocked most of the buds off before they opened all the way. They're not used to being beat up with so much rain. Well, there's always next year....

This is one of my favorites.
