Love the Bookshelves above the cook-top! But...

Where is the vent? OR better yet how was it vented? Right now it looks like there is no vent because of the light.

    Like the book shelves, but above the stove?? Cooking always produces steam and grease, especially on anything sited directly above the cooking area; the books will be spoiled.

    We have done this a few times in kitchens and our clients have never had a problem with their books above the stove. Some of the kitchens that include this feature were done over 8 years ago and our clients still live in the same place with no complaints about that problem.
