I just got my first; :-) A Kramers Camellia, which I'm waiting impatiently for enough cold to kick off the show. Which is ironic considering that I have to bundle up insanely to go out and check on it. (It's not that cold here.. I'd just do better as a semi-tropical, lol)

Because of limited garden space and funds, I'm only going to be able to add a a rate of a couple a year, with the goal of replacing the "funny looking bushy things" that came with the house with the camellias. When all's said and done I would like to have five of them as the center strip of the garden, with a row of short annuals in the front, and my climbing roses eventually framing the front windows.

Currently the 'theme' has been red, pink and purple with white accents, so Camellias will fit right into that.

I haven't decided whether I'm going to go all red, or red/white or red/pink. The pink would have to be a more intense one though.

Any suggestions would be great!
