Any one wanting to thin out there cannas??

Hello, I lost all of my cannas due to the heavy frost we had this winter. This has never happened before I am so sad by this I loved my cannas so much had I'd known this I would of dug up the roots and stored them.If any of you are planning to thin out your cannas please do keep me in mind I will pick up the shipping costs I love tall red cannas hint hint thanks so much and please email me direct only at popelittlefinch@aol.com As I don't get email from gardebweb just title the subject line gw...cannas

Are you sure they are dead? Mine die back in winter but, will come back each Spring. I live in Zone 8 so you should be good.

I'm sorry to hear of your bad winter there. Seattle, zone 8, was hit very hard this year too, and I lost alot of my fringe-zone treasures, as well as my cannas. Unfortunately, I've been a slow learner for overwintering cannas, so though it wasnt' so much of a shock to loose them, I sure did kick myself for it happening yet Again :-/
I swear I WILL learn, I WILL learn, I WILL LEARN TO OVERWINTER CANNAS if it KILLS me (or I go broke, whichever comes first).

Were are you? I'm in east Orlando, and I could probably coax my wife to give up a few... Variety? unknown, orange, 4 to 6 foot tall. We have lost our yellows (martha washington?) over the years, but can't kill these puppies.

Hello, to everyone who has posted now to address everyone to... mcbdz...and jayinflorida... yes they are dead I dug up the roots 3 weeks ago and they looked freeze dryed very dark brown and flat with no signs of green inside so dead they are!maybe they are dead because I planted them shallow who knows. and conjuay I sent you an email:) and a big thanks to brian you know who you are :)
