Explanation about strange weather pattern

I heard this on the radio today. A scientist was asked if global warming was causing this weird pattern of rain where it doesn't usually (southwest and New York in particular) and he said it was the lack of sun activity, like on the sun itself. Seems the solar flares or lack of them affect where the jetstream flows, and without the solar flare activity the jetstream is further south than usual. I thought it was interesting.

I wish it would affect us and give us some unusual rain, lol. It did sprinkle the other day for a minute. I got really excited when I saw the spots on the windshield, lol.

That is interesting... I must gotten the same 6 or 7 drops Kristy did...LOLOLOL... They did give us hope to said it will rain again in a few months....

I read that about the sun too! I kind of connected the dots to the weather myself, but that's the first confirmed connection I've heard about. I guess it's sort of cool (well literally, LOL) except for the part where it sucks tremendously :P something like 25 out of 30 days in june were overcast or rainy, and that includes days they counted as "sunny" when actually the sun came out in patches for about an hour total, lol.
