Wall hung toilets have been the standard in europe, and are FINALLY being noticed in the US. They are created with much more durable components than you standard toilets, and have larger trap ways.

Cleaning is a breeze, quieter flushing, better style. The fact that setups range from $500-1200 is the only thing holding up the explosion of sales, but it has to be a quality product since it is installed in the wall. Duravit offers the widest selection of bowls, TOTO, Grohe & Geberit offer the carriers.

Another plus is a wall-hung toilet relies on a pipe to pipe connection where a floor-mounted toilet relies on wax for a seal. PLUS, they can hold 800 lbs!! And they can now be installed in 4" walls versus 6" walls.

Although I like the clean look of wall hung toilets, I think the price is still an issue, not only for initial purchase, but servicing as well.

Servicing should be very easy. All working parts are behind the actuator on the wall which easily lifts up and off. They are very reliable and need servicing less than floor mounted models
