Advice re Pitcher Plants

I have a small planter in my front yard with some Pitcher Plants I bought almost 2 years ago. This is their second winter with me. I don't recall what they did last spring, but I know they didn't flower. Anyway, we had a strange winter, never really got cold except a handful of nights, unlike the year before which was brutal (by Georgia standards). Anyway, my pitcher plants are blooming and putting out new growth which is good. My question is about the old growth from last year. Many of the plants look burned/brown on the top 3-4 inches. Do I just leave them be or should I pull out the bad stuff or trim it? Hopefully the pics will clarify.
