I know what you mean.
I don't bring anything in anymore, ever from outside over the summer. I can't.
The bugs from outside lay their eggs in your soil, and you can't see them.
I had a giant spider lay eggs in one of mine, and when the eggs hatched, the whole house was cleaned and fumigated!
Never again, no matter how pretty it is, will I ever bring anything I took outside in the house again for the winter.
OK, except for cleaned cuttings from plants or vines, which
I wash in the sink so they are clean.
no soil.
