Most of the big box stores carry pine straw. You're getting near the end of the season, as it is harvested in the fall.

The big box stores carry pine needles year round. Not sure if they are the long leaf red pine needles you are searching for however. In Kernersville, I typically get my pine needles at the local Lowes. Call your local big box stores and ask. You could always call LA Reynolds for the specific variety of pine needles you are looking for, but I am sure they will be much more expensive than at the big box stores.

I don't know if there is such a thing as a longleaf red pine. There are longleaf pines and red pines. I don't know if they specify the type of pine needles you get when shopping at the big box stores, but normally it is dependent on local supply.
