Hello. Back in the Spring I purchased two Sarracenias from my pond store. At the time of purchase they were sitting in water and placed in the pond where they seemed to do OK for about a month. Being bug eaters I was curious about there feeding habits and kept a close eye on them but noticed for some reason there were not many bugs around the pond as I usually have. I investigated and found that after looking into a few of the growths there were no bugs.
Early last month they just turned brown and now look dead.
This sounds crazy but did they "starve"? Should I not have kept them in the pond? Do you feed them? All help will be welcome with open arms. Here are the names of the two: sarracenia-leucophylla-Tarnok,sarracenia "Cobras Nest". Thank you.
