There are some others that are amazingly different, but they weren't blooming this year yet, i guess. I'd love to find a reasonable source for some of the unusual ones, preferably local. A girl can dream, can't she? :)

Those epimediums are beautiful! I mean to get to Duke Gardens every spring and miss it. This year I've got to go. Thanks for posting these pictures Tammy -- they're gorgeous.

Thanks, Alicia! It's our annual tradition, rain or shine, to head out on Easter Sunday. I like that because the holiday fluctuates, so some years we get an early peek, and others quite late. This year everything's so early it wasn't so different than normal, except the wisteria wasn't quite blooming yet. Plus, it's so much fun to people watch! I think if it wasn't such a holiday tradition we wouldn't do it, so i'm thankful it turned into that. This was our 14th year.

I love Duke Gardens but haven't made it over there this spring. Thanks SO MUCH for posting your beautiful photos.
