Update and when to prune

Well I found the right fertilizer finally. My tree is doing great. No longer dropping leaves has lots of blooms and new lemons coming. My big lemon is still not yellow but do see changes in the texture and color of green. Was wondering if it is safe to prune the tree with all of the new blooms and fruit coming or if I should wait. I have a couple of branches that are quite a bit taller than the rest of the tree and would like to even things out if it is safe to do so. Thanks for the help before it really helped!

personally I dont prune unless the branch is dead, damaged, below the graft, or a water sprout. Having said that you can prune whatever and whenever you want but the consensus is to wait until the spring so the plant has plenty of energy in reserve and you dont cut off branches that would have bloomed since most of the blooms are at the ends of the branches.

Okay I think it is best I wait then. Two branches are a fair bit longer and would be quite a lot off to even it out. Just read another post and so excited! Can't wait for my first lemon to turn yellow. Feels like it is taking forever. That was so encouraging to see that! Never thought I could keep it alive up here in Alberta. I am hooked and would love to get an orange tree or something. Any suggestions for a good indoor option?
