plant identification

18 years ago

Hi. I've been attempting to grow a native/Mediterranean plant garden in Marysville, CA (USDA Zone 9, Sunset Zone 8 ). I've scattered lots of native plant seeds, and now I have some seedlings coming up, but the seedlings don't seem to be any of the species they planted. I think a lot of them are probably weeds, but since I can't identify their species, I'm not quite confident enough of that to want to kill them yet. Can anyone identify any of these species?

Species 1:

Species 2:

{{gwi:561073}}

Species 3:

{{gwi:561075}}

Species 4:

Species 5 (two images):

{{gwi:561079}}
{{gwi:561081}}

Species 6 (two images):

{{gwi:561083}}
{{gwi:561085}}

In case it's relevant, here are the seeds I've scattered:

Abutilon palmeri

Achillea millefolium

Arabis sparsiflora

Asclepias fascicularis

Baileya multiradiata

Camissonia cheiranthifolia

Castilleja affinis

Castilleja subinclusa

Clarkia williamsonii

Eriogonum fasciculatum

Eriophyllum confertiflorum

Eschscholzia californica

Helianthemum scoparium

Keckiella breviflora

Lavandula angustifolia

Linum lewisii

Lotus scoparius

Lupinus albifrons collinus

Lupinus excubitus

Monardella villosa

Origanum laevigatum

Penstemon centranthifolius

Penstemon palmeri

Penstemon spectabilis

Rosmarinus officinalis

Salvia apiana

Salvia mellifera

Sisyrinchium bellum

Sphaeralcea ambigua

Trichostema lanatum

Triteleia laxa

Also in case it helps, some other weeds that I've already been able to identify in the yard include foxtails, nutsedge, and large-fruited amaranth. And I think Species 1 may be a Hesperevax of some sort.
