Just looks like the normal Dutch version. Mine have seeded out, too. You may be near an old home place. The wild hyacinth you are thinking of, I believe, is Camassia scilloides, which is much taller. However, you are finding goodies in your part of the world, so you should report this if you think it is the Camassia. It is indeed on the threatened list in NC.

That's most definitely a Muscari species.

Camassia scilloides blooms later, and is quite a bit taller. It has a very local distribution in NC.

I didn't realize the Camassia looked so different...it is definitely not that, as you say. I guess some seed came with the creek, since an old home place seems unlikely down there. Thanks for the help!...it's probably just as well. If I had something threatened here I'd just freak and and over-pamper it!

Didn't realize camassia was threatened. There are literally thousands of them in bloom behind my house in the path and woods under the utility lines. Never noticed so many in previous years.

It looks like my grape hyacinths (Muscari). They spread from seeds and bulbs multiply. they keep popping up in my yard where I didn't plant them. I also noticed some at my neighbor's house who lives downhill from me. LOL!
