Aw, I hate when that happens! I get pulled in if it's a beautiful flower. But, I don't like buying things that are out of my zone. I hate to have to baby anything along. It's survival of the fittest in my garden. At the very least, you can enjoy it for a little while.

There are a few out there that have proven to be much more cold hardy than listed. Usually the solid green leaved ones and not the variegated ones. What is really odd is that the species that come from the deep tropics of Thailand are proving to be cold hardy here!

I have one I grew from seed that now, after 5 years is old enough to bloom. Hopefully it will make the bright blue berries they are famous for.
