Salvaged cute bulb with no name

I guess I should be in the bulb forum but I did salvage this one in Columbia, SC so let's see if the locals can help me first.

It's definatley a bulb. The large bulbs are a little larger than a marble. The foliage is green, thin leaves with some vague stripping that looks a little like Lycoris Radiata (pink spider lily) foliage but, it is blooming now.

The flowers are white, have six petals and close up at night. The top of the flower petals are white but the back side is pale green. They grow in drifts throughout "Shandon" and older neighborhood in Columbia.

They look a little like Rain Lily but Rain Lily has a more rounded or oval shaped petal.

My son has my camera so no photos available. Plus, they only bloom during the day while I am at work.

Any guesses as to what I have so I can look that up on the Internet and make a positive ID?
