Looking for tropical look in clematis?

I recently removed a Bougainvillea from a fence because it was dropping a lot of litter in my neighbors yard. I would like to replace it with clematis.

My garden is primarily tropical. I would prefer pruning group 1 types, but most importantly I want the flowers and foliage to be tropicalesque, so any group would work.

I would like some recommendations for full sun, some for part shade, fence coverage. In addition a recommendation for full sun containers with trellis from any pruning group? Anybody out there have any experience?

One that comes immediately to mind is Clematis florida 'Sieboldii', which features white sepals with a center of dark purple anthers - looks very much like a passionflower blossom. And being a bit tender, is well-suited to growing in warmer climates. But any of the other selections of C. florida as well as the large flowering hybrids with very large flowers or fully double blossoms should provide a tropicalesque look as well.
