Not sure if it is too late, to at least establish plants. You could plant some now, and save seeds for late summer/fall planting. One time or the other should produce results. I bought a $.20 packet of O. poppies at WalMart, and have some seedlings as of now. Don't recall the exact sowing date, but was last month. My advice: go ahead and try some seeding now.
