Elsa is a Pruning group 2...I can see that happening on the two's but your Ville de Lyon is a pruning group 3..did you hard prune it ?? It's still quite early for your zone..Enjoy the blooms and when they are gone fertilize!!..Jeanne

With the funny weather we have had this spring, and being gone 2 days, I came home and green clems everywhere. Some were so nice I couldn't bear to cut them down. We have had unseasonably warm weather and an abundance of rain--very unusual spring for us. I normally don't even start to prune clems down until now. The ones I did cut down have had a shot of Shultz liquid rose food, and a good mulch of new compost.
