Thank you, Miguel. Every weather site is predicting something different from the next. The good thing is that they keep going up on their predictions. So far, no freeze. Tonight they are calling for anywhere from 33 to 36 degrees. I just hope it doesn't drop any lower than that.

Jeanne, I just went outside and looked and YES it does have a green bar on the reverse side. You know who it is??

I know that my Clematis "Rhapsody" has a green bar on the reverse is why I asked..Some of the anthers also have a slight greenish-yellow to cream on the anthers..also read what it says about having bluish tinge at the base of the white filaments...but I couldn't tell in your pic about your anthers unless they are more open..so you'll have to determine that....see my link...Jeanne

We lucked out Monday night Carol. Tonight may be a different story. I will probably be throwing a sheet over two pots that contain an assortment of clematis in each, especially the one with socialis since it already has a bud on it.

It appears my fusca or at least what is supposed to be fusca has several brown fuzzy buds on it but growing up a trellis makes it difficult to do anything to protect it.

Carol, that looks exactly like the one I tried to identify on an earlier post! Your camera captured the color much more clearly than mine did. I thought it was Rhapsody, but COTW indicates it has 6 tepals and mine has 8....mine also has a green bar on the back side.

It looks a lot like the one I got last year at Home Depot. It didn't have a tag. The flowers are pretty big. I posted a pic of it last year and you guys suggested it was HF Young.
It's very vigorous and growing up a storm now. The color is very pretty in person and I just love the combo of it with my Awakening rose! (pic from last year)

Could it be Elsa Spath? I'ts always the first to bloom here and has a very large flower.
