Is it blooming on last years wood? The coloration looks like Asao. Asao has huge blooms though, 7" wide and those are so small. Is it growing in a pot or in the ground?

Thanks for the ID..Its blooming on new growth because I hard pruned it in Feb. Its planted in a large 16 gal plastic pot and has probably close to 30 huge buds getting ready to pop.. I pruned it back in Feburary to clean up the mess on the wire trellis that its growing on...This is its three year. It has already topped the trellis its on.. I think I'm really going to like this one.. I have another one that's a three year old also and its also was miss labeled and I'll try to post a picture of it soon..The tag said it was a Dr. put its got a white bloom.. I have two Jackmanii, true to their name and two sprinkles, two Romona, and one SAC. Thanks again for the correct ID. Sandy
