My endless summers only get morning sun. They are in heavy bloom right now. All of them are blue. I've had them for about 7 years or so. I got them when they were offered on QVC in teeny pots. I've split them every year and now they are in the whole front of house...

How do you "split" hydrangeas? Would love to do the same with mine. Didn't know they could be divided.

I get repeat blooms, and lots of them, if I deadhead the old ones. I have six plants in 10-3 sun and there are tons of blooms on them. They will get to looking a little droopy around 2pm, but as soon as the shade hits, they start perking right back up. You can see them here: http://agrowingcuriousity.blogspot.com/

Mine are in shade...one gets some early sun and one gets some at midday and both are in full bloom. I also have 3 of the old type in shade and they're in full bloom. Guess they're happy. I keep telling them they're beautiful.

I have Mini Penny ones, and they bloom from May right up to frost in my area. (This is with afternoon sun, which I know is not the best.)

I have found my Endless Summers layering on their own sometimes, when a low lying branch roots on its own. I also understand that hydrangeas root easily from cuttings, but I never knew a woody shrub could be divided. When and how have you done this?
