I would like to grow a clematis over the fence behind a sign for a camp that I am helping out at this summer. The problem with this area, is that it is quite wet....about 2 scoops from a shovel and I am hitting water! I would really like to plant a Polish Spirit, since it's easier to grow, and should bloom in July. However, I am concerned that the roots would rot because of all the water! Should I build a raised bed to plant them in or make a drainage ditch to dry the area out? Thanks for the help! Gladah
