Lots of whites so it may be hard to pick the right one but you can post a picture by going by to tinypic.com and use the browse button to navigate to the picture on your computer. Upload it and copy the "html code" and paste it in your gardenweb post. Someone may know it.

Might be Arctic Queen but there are more than one double white Clematis

The petals aren't the right shape and the middle is a different color. I really want to get this clematis again. I wish I could just go dig it up but I sold the house.

Duchess of Edinburgh? Your photo looks similar to the photo in the book "Simply Clematis" and to the photo on Brushwood Nursery's website, although Clematis on the Web shows a much fuller flower for Duchess of Edinburgh.

I am leaning more towards "Arctic Queen" as well..do you notice the semi-double and the tepals don't recurve as well there are dark tips on the anthers...Jeanne
