Could be SAC, Clematis terniflora. It is listed as invasive in various parts of the country, where it has naturalized. Could just as easily be the native Clematis virginiana, which looks very much like SAC and blooms about the same time. You can tell them apart by their foliage - virgin's bower (C. virginiana) has heavily toothed leaves while SAC has mostly rounded, untoothed leaves.
