8-12' in height. Width is extremely variable - vines grow up, not out, so width is seldom ever mentioned with cultivar details. Obviously the number of stems emerging from the root crown and how you train the vine will determine exactly how wide it could be: more stems = more ability to train some growth horizontally, ergo width.

I have Joe Zary and it is a slow performer. It looks a little raggedy right now but we have had a hard winter. I'm in zone 4b in Ontario. The flowers are lovely so am waiting for a big show.

Thanks Charlotte. I was asking more about the size, which GG answered. I've read more than often, that this clematis can have blooms from May/ June till September. Has that been your experience?

It has never bloomed in May or even in early June. It is a slow grower, at least for me and it is facing west, so lots of sun, but so far, not impressed. I'll let you know if things improve.

I'm sorry to hear that. From what I read it prefers morning sun as the flowers tend to bleach. But I assume it's normal to be slow, especially after this long winter. Keep us posted, anyway.
