The Turrach Expedition 5 2011

November 21, 2011

The Turrach gave new brooms last weekend. There are surprisingly 2 superminis in the fresh harvest.

Enjoy the new shots of the Company of Miroslav Malik, Franz Etzelstorfer, Ladislav Krejci, Zdenek Novak and Milan Simanek.

Beautiful compact trees on the hilltop.

I like best the light lemon compact one middle beyond...

I also like the compact greeny-bluish on the left side,

and of course the dark green one far right...

Another shot of Mr. Simanek, an 8x8 cm supermini broom, tight, almost without needles, just buds. Hard to find.

A nice big find of Miroslav Malik. He climbs very good, I should do the same after such a nice shot.

I think the Turrach paid well the efforts for broom hunting.

After some years the new plants can grow, and people can enjoy them in the gardens.

We have some more photos of both superminis.

The broom hunters had a great luck with the weather. The foggy valleys down had 1-2 C, but over 1600 m they enjoyed 8-10 C clear and sunny mid-November.

Enjoy the photos of Milan Simanek

There is a little risk about the surviving of these 2 minis, They needed a bit more leaves.

The owners of the skiway can't wait snowing, they make some first. This year the Alps got extraordinary few rains, maybe for Christmas they become some snow.

I can't wait to see those mini brooms successfully grafted. They will be tough. Good luck to the grafters.
