If you want to make a pink statement, why not? Princess Di, a hot darker pink, would contrast with the pink-white Bee's Jubilee.

You do know that Princess Di is differently shaped, don't you? The contrasting shapes might be interesting also--or does Bee's Jubilee bloom before Princess Di starts? I've grow the latter, but have never grown BJ, so I can't say in that regard.

I agree with Kate. The colors and forms would look good together, but Princess Di blooms later than Bees.

Princess Diana is also a Type III hard pruning and she is a Texensis which means full sun or mildew at least in my yard it does.

Clematis texensis are native to Texas so think heat. :)

Bee's Jubilee is a pink Type II and that generally means it needs some shade not to fade.

I think you would have a better combination with Princess Di & a type 3 paler pink, such as Hagley Hybrid or Comtesse de Bouchaud.

Thank you for your ideas. I just bought a Princess Diane and I have a Bee's Jubilee that is not doing well where it's at, so thought maybe I would move Bee's and plant together with Princess Di. I hadn't thought about the different bloom times, but maybe that would be o.k. I would have blooms at two different times of the season. My Bee's Jubilee has been blooming for a couple weeks. I do have a Hagley Hybrid also, but she is liking her spot, so I won't move her. She has also been blooming for a couple weeks, so is probably ahead of Princess Di also.
