Guernsey Cream is quite lovely. So is Gillian Blades. Gillian has ruffled edges and a little bit of color, while Guernsey is flat and very white. I also have 3 Claire de Lunes, which look somewhat like Gillian, and they do very well in shade for me. I also have Alabast, which is nice, and in the shade. Now that I'm thinking about it, I also have Duchess of Edinburgh and Arctic Queen for white doubles. Oh, and Henryii, which has larger flowers than my others.

A white that I have that has yet to bloom for me due to the size of the plant is clematis viticella campaniflora. The pictures of it that I have seen lead me to believe I will like it when it finally blooms. It has much smaller bell shaped flowers.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. Nckvilledues, the Campaniflora is lovely....those nodding types are a favorite. There are several whites listed here that I will look up...definitely must get Clair de Lune. Has anyone grown "The Bride" a very pretty white that appears to have dark foliage to offset the white blooms?
