I don't think either one is huge or aggressive. You can look their size up below. I have Ville de Lyon and have seen mature specimens and it was half the size of many others.

I agree - neither of mine are huge or aggressive. Ernest is only a couple of years old, but I've probably had Ville De Lyon a good 10 years or so, and it's a good size.

Do either of these fade very much in full sun? I noticed how close in color they are on that website. Is that really their true colors? I may return "Ernest" for another color.

I do not think these two fade much. My Ville de Lyon doesn't fade. They are close in color. Ville de Lyon has a two toned effect but it is subtle. I don't have Ernest but I have seen a mature one in full sun and there was no noticeable fading.

The older flowers on Ernest do fade somewhat. I like it - it's healthy and blooms well. Here's a pic from a few years back and another that's a bit more recent:
