Hello,

Okay I have a problem one of my cacti had bad rot. Even the center woody part gone black and smelt awful so I cut it 3" from the black and the stem is all green an looks healthy. I'll leave it to caluse for 2-4weeks before I root it
There was two others in the pot so I have carefully removed then all. To avoid spreading the rot.

Now my question is;

How long can they stay out of soil?
They was watered two and half weeks ago.
I ask as I start new job that's nights. Abd I don't know when I'll next r be free.

The one at the back has so few roots. And I believe it's previously suffered from rot but the stem maybe dis-coloured but it's firm abd noy soft or smell bad.
Any advice?
