Great deal - need help in a hurry !!!!

Hi everyone. I went to Lowes today and bought 1 quart containers for $1.25 each. Fireworks, Dr.Ruppel, Asao, Sakala and Pilu. They had 2 quart containers for $2.50 each. They had only one variety so I bought two. That was Nelly Moser. Ask for the manager and negotiate. These were not the discounted ticket prices. I have never grown clematis until this year. Have I got my work cut out for me.

I need to know, do I leave the original lattice that comes in the container in place when I plant each plant??? I won't be cutting them back until next Spring so I assume that I should. I need confirmation as I am starting my plantings tomorrow. Jeanne, are you out there????

Robin...go ahead and Plant them with the lattice if you can't get the vines uncurled from the lattice..you will be pruning them like type 3s next late winter/early spring to get them going anyway...at that time you can remove the lattice..or you can cut back..remove lattice and then plant if you can't undo them..really anyway you decide won't hurt them..it's up to you...Jeanne
