ednam - What a great job you did with the bird bath! Love the way the ivy hides the pedestal.. Like floating with the fall wind!

That's also beautiful. You really have to send me an email and tell me how you make them.

    Edna,

Your work has inspired me, but unfortunately I have to wait until spring, my garage is full of plants!! I can't even get my car in there. I think my family would have a fit if did that kind of project on the kitchen table!!

Reslly nice, when you are done at chena's come on up. I have no room in the garage as I have a classic car in there that takes up my room now. Directions would be nice too?

I have an old camaro in my garage too lol.

Ednam, do you know how you could do a monstera leaf? I wanted to do one of mine and how would you get all the little holes to come out? I asked this on another forum once but no one seemed to know.

EDNA!! you are good! need to save those instructions, if I can follow them, for my EE.s next summer!

SJN...I'm not sure what you are talking about. What holes ?and I don't know thw plant leaf you mentioned. Edna

Hi Edna, Here is a photo of the plant I am referring to. I think it would be cool as a part of a water feature sort of like to have the water trickle through it and into a different reservoir. I appreciate your input.

Here is a link that might be useful: monstera leaf

SJN.you are zone 10..just let me say this...I HATE you..LOL
That being said, and out of the way..... Great idea. You probably couldn't do all of the holes, just the big ones, the little ones you would probably have to cover over before putting the concrete on. I think it would be beautiful. I tell you what, I'll come spend the winter with you and we can make one everyday.. I had just cleaned up my big sand pile, or I would have took a pic of it. I just dump the sand back in my bucket and keep it till the next year. I keep my pile ready all summer. I have down to a science. I can make one in 10 min. or less. Where are you in zone 10 ? Edna

Those are really nice Edna. You are very creative!

Lol edna don't hate me I'm not in a *tropical* zone 10 !! It is a desert zn 10. You wouldn't want to be me in the summer when its 120 lol. I am on the CA/AZ border on the CO river. Monstera Deliciosa makes a great houseplant you know, as long as you keep them in check. Treat the same as a philodendrum and they like to climb. There are mini types also, one called *Ginny* I think. The one I have is the large type. There are also a few diff. variegated types. I didnt think mine would like it here with the dry air but it is doing O.K.
I could always send you a leaf or a cutting when it warms up :) Then you could make one too!

Very nice. I want to do one with a Royal Paulownia leaf & I have Castor Bean seeds to try next year. How much cement did it take for 1 leaf?

Karma, what kind of car do you have? I have a 60 Austin Healey Sprite & a 60 Chrysler Imperial.

Edna agin that looks so beautiful and tranquil. Can imagine sitting by that with a cup of tea.
Forget going to SJN'S house. Hop on a plane for Australia.
Brisbane is truly wonderful weather at this time of year, and if you don't mind 3 kids, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 1 carpet python, 1 husband and a semi lunatic woman, actually 2 semi lunatic women...my mother lives just up the road, then come stay and we could be creative....or at least I could watch you be creative for hours. Of course carting the finished concrete products back on the plane would be out of the question, excess luggage and all.
