Yes Annie, we will be waiting. It is so nice having a new camera. I still think of mine as new and it's over a year old. I haven't learned yet what all it can do.

    Enjoy ~ FlowerLady

What did you get, what did you get?

My Canon A650 was inspired by a conversation between FlowerLady & Sierra, and I love it. Learned lots when I took her on a European tour to the tune of 250 photos/day last summer, have forgotten most of it except this feature is possible.

Rain = bad, but overcast can = good.

    Have fun!, Ana

I got a Canon Power Shot A450. It takes great pics!
I played with it all day today. I took over 200 pictures trying different features! I am such a gardening-photography freak! I swear!

I am going to upload them to my PhotoBucket website and then post the link to show the results.

I was out this afternoon today planting flowers and shrubs and moving a few. I have a wheelbarrow full of tall red & yellow Cannas that I dug out of the potager (too big) and am going to plant them somewhere along the driveway or along the road front for their hot summer colors and their lush tropical foliage that looks so good in semi-shaded areas.

So much to get done while the rain has stopped. The clouds are still hanging around, so it will likely be raining again soon.

Purple flowering Cow's Vetch is growing rampant all over my yard. It has completely taken over the bed in the center of the old iris garden. Only a little of the Clove Pinks is peeking out on one side. The super fragrant ground cover, Wild Blue Phlox (Phlox divaricata L.) is blooming away through the smothering Vetch, but it is a tangled mess, spilling out into the garden paths and grabbing at my legs. The four foot wide paths are now just kitty cat trails. Ack! Even the Blue Phlox is growing out in the paths. It smells heavenly, but I can't even see the daylilies now, and the Purple Coneflowers disappeared two weeks ago! And now the copperheads are out and about, going after baby rabbits, birds and frogs....grrrr. I will have to take my sword along with me in case I encounter them.

Just the same, I waded through that mess out to the rose arch to get pictures of the New Dawn rose growing on it that is beginning to bloom and the clematis that is flowering with it. I was joined by a herd of cats. (So cute. I got great pics of the flowers and my puss cats.) The Clematis blooms have never been this big - ever! The Bridles Wreath spirea bushes that grows on either side of the garden path beyond the arch has taken over the path beyond the arch. It is beautiful but dark & creepy. I had to push the branches apart to peer back in there. Good grief! I didn't EVEN walk back in there! Uh uh! Tomorrow I will attack that with some long handled loppers and reclaim my garden path! What a jungle!

I will post 'before and after' pictures of each area, i.e. "The jungle vs the Cottage Garden. :)
