...from lesson plan of Linda Rist, high school teacher in South Dakota: "Georgian art influenced flower arranging with large amounts of flowers cramped into a small container using boxwood, ivy, and magnolia along with garden flowers in the summer; berries, cones, greens with fruit were used during the winter along with dried flowers and the center of interest is near the rim of the container".

Early Georgian period used lots of flowers and branches overflowing from urns; late Georgian period arrangements were more triangular in shape placed in classical vases such as Wedgewood with focus on single variety of flower or single color arrangement. Tussie Mussie's were also first used during late Georgian period.
