Update!

Hi Friends,

What a whirlwind of a week! Sister-Dear helped me a couple of weeks ago get over the hump in making the house livable and Mom came with her pickup truck to help move the big items and she was here for a few days helping with some of the finishing touches--no it is not all done yet--but here is the GOOD news!

WE MOVED IT!!!! YES! AT LONG LAST!!!!!!!!!

We got the phone switched over easily, the TV--well, we signed up for a different satellite company and it will be installed next week and the internet was hooked up today with the high speed but we will be getting the wireless so I can have my computer wherever that will be next week also. It was a pain to be without it for a few days.

Tomorrow, if the sun shines I will snap up a bunch of pix and get some more pages done.

The painter left a bit a go, it was after dark but he is done! YEAH! He did a GREAT job. All the carpenters, electricians & plumbers are done! The scrap man stopped by this afternoon and said he would be happy to haul away all the junk--for free! Oh, ain't life grand! The dumpster should be gone soon and then I can get some pix of the outside!!!!

Wow and congratulations! Your room postings have gone up so quickly that I've not finished all of the tour!

I can tell how excited you are. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

You fixed up a house, then moved it? What a huge undertaking, but I'm surprised you didn't move it before fixing it up. I know nothing of renovations, though, so I'm just speaking from a non-expert mind frame.

    Congratulations,

Wonderful news! You must feel like you're in a dream. You were so smart to get what you could done before the move. We really regret not doing anything before we moved in. It's so much harder when you have to go about your life in a construction zone.

I wish you many, many happy years in your new/old home.

Hehehe! TYPO--MOVED IN! No house hauling for us!

Yes, the bulk of the work is behind us--Thank God for that!

the bottom of the pantry, top of the back winder stairs and the massive hall stairs and upstairs hall still need doing.

Ha! I was wondering about the "moved it" too. I was thinking "those crazy Northerners, what they won't get up to." Your renovations have been fun to see, the work y'all put in is amazing. I'm sure you're ready for a break.

    Leasa and Mike,

Thanks so much for showing us your "urban renewal". Soooo what are you going to do for an encore??? I hope some R&R is included. Have you scrubbed your fingers to the nubs???

This project really should be on TV. I watched shows that aren't nearly as fun as watching your dream come together.
