What are approximate dates of maturity for the following varieties of sunflowers. Autumn Beauty, Evening Sun Mix, Strawberry Blonde Hybrid, Teddy Bear, and Chianti Hybrid? They are all Burpee seed packets. My daughter is getting married on September 18. I bought these seeds for friends, in different areas, within 150 miles, to grow for me so we have flowers for the vases at the reception and decorating the church.

How soon before the wedding, which is on a Saturday, do I dare harvest them? I was hoping on the Wednesday or Thursday prior to the wedding.

I also would love the hear about other varieties of sunflowers which make good cut flowers, and sources for their seeds. The bridesmaids are wearing cobalt blue or blue velvet color dresses if you are familiar with David's Bridal so I believe sunflowers will be a beautiful contrast.
