RE: Great yellow Alstroemeria

I like to grow the tall Peruvian Lilies -- which make great cut flowers (or rather PULLED ones).

I have been collecting Alstromerias for years -- but never found a good, strong yellow one.

That is until now.

I was perusing the catalog for Digging Dog nursery and found one they brought over from England called Yellow Friendship.

I received my order in December and the little Yellow Friendship was about 8" tall.

Fast forward to today (June 10th) and I moved the plant up in pot size twice to a 15-gallon.

This Alstroemeria ROCKS!

What a performer.

I never had a Peruvian Lily grow and bloom so vigorously its first season.

Usually they need a year to fill in.

And the color!

The two photos I took don't really do justice.

The yellow is a clear, pure tone.

And the size of the blooms is also big.
