I am guessing, Phyl, you haven't received a response to this post quite possible because we're not sure how to answer this question. Isn't Wiltpruf labelled for use on plants to prevent windburn and transplant shock? I would certainly also be leary about using spray chemicals on any bouquet we sold at market. We offer our customers packets of preservative which are said to contain ingredients which are basically harmless. A small percentage will not use these. One thing I notice you did not mention using is hydrating solution to condition the flowers. And, if you are seeing a vaselife of 5-7 days, the recipient should be happy.

Thanks so much FlowerFarmer, for responding. I do see a vaselife of about 3-5 days already...do you think purchasing the hydrating solution as well would be just a wasted expense? I certainly don't have money to burn...have only sold 4 bouquets so far. :0) Phyl

There is an anti-transpirant spray that you can get from florist supply companies, just for spraying on cut flowers, to help them not to wilt, but I don't know its name. I've used it only for hand-tied bridal/bridesmaid bouquets, because they won't be in water for most of the wedding day. I think it slows down wilting, but haven't done a study on it, so I don't know. I always conditioned the flowers before making the bouquet, to get them into the best shape possible in the first place.

Thanks for letting us know...think I'll stick with the regular way I get flowers ready for the vase....they last long enough I guess. I'm learning that some flowers just don't typically last as well as others-ie; some of my roses last forever and others shatter almost as soon as you put them in the vase. Phyl
