Ghost (gray) Pine seedling

This March the wife and I found a Ghost pine (P. sabiniana) cone with several seeds that were beginning to germinate. This may not be new for most of you, but we are completely impressed by the size of the seedling, especially the reach of the cotyledons. For size perspective it's growing in a standard one gallon pot.

Looks great!! I wish I had planted those seeds, too.

Looking at seedlings in 1 gallon pots isn't new for me, but it is for this particular pinus seedling species.

19 cotyledons is good going! One more than the maximum figure I've seen cited for the species. As far as I know, only P. maximartinezii has more (up to 24).

What's the diameter of a "1 gallon pot"? Guessing about 15cm?
