The one I have is still a twig. It is sooooo slow growing. I can't wait until it's large enough to show a good flush like yours Ken.

    About how old are those?

I was guessing 5-6 but I get off at times guessing ages because to my untrained eye the time for it to create that first definable whorl can vary.

    Correct or no?

well it will remain untrained.. unless you practice ...

the one on the hill ... collectors nursery .... 5/2003

the one on flat ground. which should be easier to see the whorls ... 7/2005

both were second year one gal plants ...

'the other' ... is in much more shade.. so is more sparse than the other on the hill ..

it is hard to tell the first few years of growth as far as whorls.. so i will give you a B+ on your guess ...
