Only six weeks till spring.

Actually, it's 5 weeks and 4 days (not counting today) Booo on that groundhog in Pa. He's usually wrong anyway. So, I get up this morning and the mountains of snow are just about gone, I can see the ground again and the birds are singing. It's a miracle. Just before this big melt down, a bird reminded me that I will be needing more plant tags. (no, I'm not crazy, just obsessed) See for yourself. Oh well, back to my wish list. I will be cutting out the last remaining 'patch' of lawn in my yard. Cindy

We are suppose to have a wonderful week here in northwest FL...upper 60's during the day...upper 40's at night. I know we still have cold weather ahead, but this week will be a welcome respite. I've been outside cutting back the rose bushes this morning. I have lots of dead foliage on other plants that also need to be cut back. With this weather I can space it out and won't have to kill myself trying to get it all done in one day. I'm ready to dig in the dirt and lay mulch and enjoy the outdoors! We have huge flocks of robins that come in our yard every afternoon. They tear up the grass looking for worms and insects...messy birds...but fun to watch. For those of you up north...hang in there...spring is around the corner!

The snow is so pretty. It seems to keep dodging us. If it isn't going to snow here then I'm ready for spring. The last couple days have been in the 70's and I love it. Should be this way for several days. It was 7 here on Thursday morning and then 71 on Saturday at lunchtime. Have been working outside today, just couldn't stand to be in the house anymore.

Most of the snow here has melted off almost overnight. There sure was a lot laying around yesterday. With the melt off I was able to actually see my daylily beds. I have some BUTTERED POPCORN that is actually showing some growth. It's a dormant and usually doesn't show growth this early. Maybe warmer spring like weather is here to stay. One can wish. :-)

Cindy, Loved that pic of the bird on the plant marker. Reminds me that I too need to get more plant markers ordered and labeled.

Well, 70s last week and snowing again tonight.

I surely hope those silly daylilies didn't decide to wake up with the warm weather cause they'll be getting their noses nipped tonight for sure.

I looked yesterday and there was only a tiny bit of green left at the base on seedlings with some ev heritage.

It's really coming down. Had 2 inches in the first couple hours or so.

    C'mmmon spring!

Glad I have the seedlings indoors to keep me company. Still have quite a few straggler seeds that I'm trying to make germinate.
